Team Members provide Skyline Time service to our guests in an enthusiastic, friendly, outgoing, fun, wholesome, clean and safe manner. While each Team Member is hired for a primary position (Server, Drive-Thru, and/or Production), each team member may be asked to assist in fulfilling other position duties. It is desirable that each Team Member be cross-trained in each duty.

Busser

Main duties are cleaning and sanitizing tables when guests are done with their meal. Also may help other team members by getting drinks or refills for customers. May be asked to bring out chili or get ice for the drink stations for example. We focus on teamwork. End of shift duties as well before finishing your shift.

Dishwasher

As the name states your main duty is cleaning dishes and items from prep work. This position is in the back and comes with a bluetooth radio to enjoy since most of your time is spent by yourself. Other team members will be passing through to get things of course. We do ask that the music be kept at a low enough volume to avoid any possible prafanity in what you are listening to being heard in the dining room. Many people prefer to start here who do not like interacting with customers as much.

Server

Responsible for dining room and/or counter service to guests. Communicates food order to Production Team Members. Process guest orders to ensure that all items are prepared properly and on a timely basis. Prepares and delivers beverages, silverware, crackers and food. Observes guest-dining experience, responds to additional guest needs, gives guest check, and clears table. We generally do not hire directly into server positions but it can happen. It is easier to start as a cashier and Drive thru team member and learn serving down the road.

Cashier

The main job here is asking how our guest's visit was and checking them out. There are also some walk in orders for takeout that will need taken as well as DoorDash orders which populate on our POS iPads. The phone is also the cashier's responsibility to answer.

Drive-Thru

Responsible for delivering drive-thru service to guests. Rings in orders and ensures that all items are prepared properly and within drive-thru standards. Prepares and delivers beverages, serviceware, condiments and food, ensuring order is bagged properly. Responds to any additional guest needs and cashes guest out. 

Production/Table

Responsible for preparing food orders quickly and according to standard recipes to ensure quality and avoid waste. Communicates with other Production & Server Team Members to expedite guest food orders. Process guest orders to ensure that all items are prepared properly and on a timely basis. Listening skills are a must.


Work Requirements & Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching and lifting. Job requires substantial repetitive motions of the wrist, hands and fingers.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. This can include cases, service trays, spaghetti lugs, bus tubs, trash cans, and any other item up to that weight several times per shift.
  • Ability to follow all health and safety laws, policies and procedures. Frequent hand washing is required.
  • Follows all required procedures outlined in Skyline Chili’s cash handling policy.
  • Possess basic reading, writing, math and computer skills.
  • Displays professional and appropriate image and appearance.
  • Outgoing and willing to serve the public in a positive manner.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and pleasant manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 16 years of age and possess all documents and permits required by law.
  • Previous restaurant experience is a plus but not required.
