Job Title: Team Member                            

Reports To: General Manager or MOD                         

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt  

 

Summary

Reporting to the General Manager or Manager on Duty (MOD), Team Members provide Skyline Time service to our guests in an enthusiastic, friendly, outgoing, fun, wholesome, clean and safe manner. While each Team Member is hired for a primary position (Server & Production), each team member may be asked to assist in fulfilling other position duties. It is desirable that each Team Member be cross-trained in each duty.

Server

Responsible for dining room and/or counter service to guests. Communicates food order to Production Team Members. Process guest orders to ensure that all items are prepared properly and on a timely basis. Prepares and delivers beverages, silverware, crackers and food. Observes guest-dining experience, responds to additional guest needs, gives guest check, and clears table.

 

• Ensures every regular and 1st time guest has an outstanding and memorable dining experience.

• Enhances the guest experience through delivering a memorable Skyline Time experience.

• Suggestively sells and answers questions regarding food, beverages, and service.

• Obtains assigned service section from MOD at the beginning of shift.

• Writes down all guest orders and special requests without error. Inputs all orders into Point of Sale system.

• Greets guests, assists with special needs.

• Ensures all items ordered are included on guest check.

• Ensures quality products are served throughout experience.

• Completes assigned cleaning and side duties per restaurant guidelines.

• Utilize sanitation check list to ensure dining room, restrooms and high traffic areas are sanitized per Skyline standard operating procedures.

• Upon the discretion of the General Manager, servers must work one non-serving/production shift a week.

• Performs other job-related duties as may be assigned or required.

 

Production

Production areas include drive-thru, carry-out, steam table, and kitchen/back-of-house. Responsible for preparing food orders quickly and according to standard recipes to ensure quality and avoid waste. Communicates with other Production & Server Team Members to expedite guest food orders. Process guest orders to ensure that all items are prepared properly and on a timely basis.

 

• Delivers Skyline Time through personal hospitality.

• Prepares ways, Coneys, and all other menu items according to Skyline recipe specifications while utilizing food safety and sanitation procedures.

• Waits on drive-thru, cash/carry-out, and counter guests when necessary. Inputs all orders into POS.

• Greet guests, assist with special needs.

• Maintains product knowledge, knows the ingredients and presentation of all menu items and specials.

• Stocks/restocks items according to specifications.

• Completes cleaning and stocking duties in accordance with the appropriate daily operating procedures.

• Cleans and sanitizes dishes, prep area and steam table per Skyline Chili sanitation procedures.

• Performs other job-related duties as may be assigned or required.
